Volcano anuncia los resultados preliminares del estudio ADVISE II y su inclusión en el ensayo SYNTAX2

SAN DIEGO y PARÍS, 24 de mayo de 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Volcano Corporation (NASDAQ: VOLC), un destacado desarrollador y fabricante de herramientas de precisión para terapia guiadas diseñadas para mejorar la diagnosis y tratamiento de la enfermedad vascular periférica y coronaria, anunció hoy los resultados preliminares del ensayo ADVISE (Adenosine Vasodilator Independent Stenosis Evaluation) II durante la sesión de ensayo clínico hot line late breaking de EuroPCR 2013. Estos resultados prospectivos conforman los de las publicaciones retrospectivas anteriores, demostrando la utilidad clínica de una aproximación iFR®/Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR) Hybrid para simplificar la evaluación de las lesiones y ahorrar el uso de fármacos hiperémicos en un número considerable de pacientes. También se anunció que esta estrategia Hybrid iFR®/FFR, junto a la guía de ultrasonidos intravasculares (IVUS), se usará en el ensayo multicentro SYNTAX2 en Europa, que comienza a finales de este año.
