The Wearable Robotics Association is Now Accepting Proposals for the Annual Innovation Challenge
Date:1/5/2019

Join the Innovation Challenge at WearRAcon 19 and be seen by potential investors! WearRAcon is scheduled to take place March 26-28 at the DoubleTree Resort in Scottsdale, AZ (USA). The Wearable Robotics Association (WearRA) is inviting entries that represent the most innovative new ideas in wearable robotic technology for the Annual Innovation Challenge. The winner will receive $5,000 to support development and commercialization of the technology.

“We are proud to provide this opportunity for wearable robotics entrepreneurs,” said Joseph Hitt, Ph.D., Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Wearable Robotics Association. “Past winners have used the funds to bring robotics projects to the market. The 2017 winner, EduExo, is a robotic exoskeleton kit for STEM Education that is now available for purchase. WearRA is pleased to have been a part of this journey.”

Anyone from solo developers to small companies to student teams have the opportunity to show their prototypes and ideas in front of the leaders in the exoskeleton industry. All entries will be examined by a panel of wearable robotics experts. Finalists will be selected to present at WearRAcon 19 (Scottsdale, Arizona, March 26-28, 2019).

Submissions are due by January 20, 2019. The proposal must include information about intellectual property and the development outline with milestones for deliverables. Explain the potential impact on the wearable robotics community, as well as significance of this concept as an advancement for the industry.
