Ophthalmic Instruments, Inc. Participating in American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) 2018
Date:10/16/2018

Ophthalmic Instruments, Inc., a leading distributor of quality ophthalmic instruments, today announced its participation in the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s (AAO) annual session. This four day event will be held in conjunction with the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology October 27-30 at McCormick Place in Chicago. AAO 2018 is a leading event for the ophthalmology field, attracting attendees from around the United States and the world.

For this event, Ophthalmic Instruments will be showcasing the latest instrumentation for the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, including the new Topcon OCT series. The Triton is the first swept-source OCT with multimodal imaging capabilities. The Maestro OCT/retinal camera combination unit is the fastest and best-selling OCT in the world today. Doctors will have the opportunity to ‘test drive” these OCTs as well as other first class instruments.

In their booth, the company will also be featuring the Tono-Pen Avia and XL by Reichert Technologies, and the Haag-Streit Octopus perimeter series, both of which are considered first in class for the diagnosis of glaucoma. Doctors will find numerous other instruments that support their daily activities in providing excellent patient care while maintaining an effective and efficient practice. In addition, doctors will be able to do a side by side comparison of the New Marco M5 slot lamp and the new Haag-Streit BI slit lamp.

“Participating in this annual event is key for us,” said Scott Shone, president of Ophthalmic Instruments, Inc. “We share in the Academy’s vision of delivering the highest quality eye care and have been providing high-quality products and service to physicians in the industry for over 40 years. Our experienced representatives maintain frequent contact with the physicians in their regions and bring problem solving skills and relevant information about products to the customers we serve. Because the products we sell are of the highest-quality, we can ensure the physicians that the products will benefit both patients and doctors.”
