NYC Rehab Center Consortium CentersHealthcare.com Spotlights Social Workers Appreciation Month
Date:4/12/2013

NEW YORK, April 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Centers for Specialty Care Group, a preeminent health center consortium located in New York City, upstate New York, and New Jersey, is currently celebrating the efforts of social workers as part of Social Workers Appreciation Month. The group, available at http://www.CentersHealthcare.com, is comprised of both nursing homes and rehab centers in New York.

"Certain professions are more accurately deemed vocations rather than mere day-jobs; the demands placed on a social worker in today's society are many and varied, providing constant challenges and requiring a very high standard of diligence and care. Social workers often go far and behind the call of duty, making admirable efforts to improve our lives and the overall fabric of our society. Whether a single parent who was provided with the financial wherewithal to support their children, or a homeless person who gained a roof over their head, each and every one of us has benefited from the laudable deeds of social workers, whether directly or indirectly," said Kenny Rozenberg , CEO of Centers for Specialty Care Group.

An initiative launched by the National Association of Social Workers in 1965, Social Workers Appreciation Month is an annual occurrence intended to celebrate social workers' daily assistance of both individuals and families, of every age, from all communities. The theme for 2013 is "Weaving Threads of Resilience and Advocacy," highlighting social workers' endeavors in constructing a network of security for those in need. Centers for Specialty Care Group is honoring services provided by social workers with a host of events of appreciation luncheons, which serve to draw attention to workers' extensive efforts in the field of health care.

The consortium consists of many different centers specializing in nursing home therapy and rehabilitation. Locations are spread across the metropolitan New York area, upstate New York, and New Jersey, with centers ranging in terms of size and breadth of available facilities. Many centers offer beautician and barber services, therapeutic recreation, catering for specialized diets, as well as physical, cardiac, and occupational therapies. Additionally, several centers are equipped with their own specialist facilities. For example, Boro Park Center offers fine Glatt Kosher food under the Hashgacha of Rabbi Friedlander.

The group also provides on-site kidney dialysis treatment at numerous facilities. This sets it apart from many other nursing homes operating in the same area which are unable to provide the treatment on-site and must resort to transporting patients to separate facilities.

To learn more about the services provided by Centers for Specialty Care Group, browse the consortium's website at http://www.CentersHealthcare.com. For questions about the group and its services, call 718-559-0699.
