Health Care Educators Continue to Select Gaumard Scientific's Victoria as Preferred Birthing Simulator for Simulation Centers
Date:6/1/2015

MIAMI, June 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gaumard® Scientific Company (www.gaumard.com) today announced that its U.S. installations of the Victoria™ birthing simulator continue at a rapid pace as more health care educators select what is the industry's most advanced maternal-fetal simulator for their teaching purposes. Victoria installations now span 24 states in all regions and reflect the demand for advanced fully tetherless and wireless technology that Gaumard offers.

New installations sites include Clarkson College in Omaha, Nebraska, and Scott & White Memorial Hospital, a part of Baylor Scott & White Health, in Temple, Texas.

A member of the Noelle® family of maternal and neonatal care simulators, Victoria has a patented, precision life-like delivery and birthing mechanism that births a life-like, full-term baby with sophisticated monitoring capabilities. Gaumard's complete Victoria system includes comprehensive clinical scenarios, including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage. With articulating endoskeletons and silky smooth elastomeric skin, Victoria is the most realistic, fully tetherless and wireless maternal/fetal simulator for use in actual point of care training.

John Eggert, Gaumard's executive vice president, said, "Victoria represents the most significant innovation to date in all aspects of birthing simulators. Customers continue to select Victoria because it is in its own class in terms of technology and represents the industry standard. We look forward to showcasing Victoria at next month's INACSL and AWHONN annual meetings."

INACSL, or the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation & Learning annual conference, is set for June 10-13 in Atlanta. Gaumard will demonstrate Victoria and its extensive line-up of patient simulators at booth Nos. 500, 502, and 504.

AWHONN, or the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses annual convention, will be held June 13-17 in Long Beach, Calif. Gaumard will demonstrate Victoria and its other patient simulators at booth No. 524.
