DSI Renal Acquires New Smyrna Beach Artificial Kidney Center

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla., Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- DSI Renal, a leading provider of dialysis services for patients suffering from chronic kidney failure, announced today that it has acquired the New Smyrna Beach Artificial Kidney Center in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  Previously owned by KRU Medical, the facility will continue to offer exceptional dialysis care and upscale amenities to patients in the New Smyrna Beach area.

"DSI shares our commitment to providing holistic, patient centered care to create a family-like environment," said Christopher Mai , M.D., Medical Director at the New Smyrna Beach Artificial Kidney Center.  "Along with my talented staff, I look forward to partnering with DSI's experienced leadership team to ensure that we offer the highest level of care to our long-standing as well as new patients."

The newly acquired facility features 11 in-center hemodialysis stations as well as a home training program.  Patient amenities include individual station television and internet access as well as convenient parking.  Located near I-95 and the Bert Fish Medical Center, the clinic address is 821 State Road 44.
