Aeroflow Healthcare to Host April Diaper Drive to Benefit Diaper Bank of North Carolina
Date:3/20/2019

Aeroflow Healthcare, an Inc. 5000 fastest growing company, today announced that its Urology division will host a diaper drive from April 22-26, during national Every Kid Healthy™ Week, to benefit Diaper Bank of North Carolina. The company encourages all corporate partners to participate by dropping off donations of diapers at Aeroflow’s headquarters at 3165 Sweeten Creek Road in Asheville, N.C. Diapers in sizes 4, 5, and 6 are in particularly high demand. The diaper drive will begin at 8:30 AM on Monday, April 22 and conclude at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 26.

The diapers will be donated to Diaper Bank of North Carolina for distribution to families in McDowell County, which has a 25.9% poverty rate. According to the Diaper Bank of North Carolina, one in three American families struggle to afford enough diapers, and government assistance programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Women, Infants, Children (WIC) do not cover their purchase, creating further hardships for many families. Aeroflow’s partnership with Diaper Bank of NC supports the organization’s mission of promoting and protecting the dignity of North Carolina residents by improving access to basic personal hygiene products.

“We’re proud to be able to give back to our local community here in North Carolina,” said Mica Phillips, Director of Aeroflow Urology. “Diapers can be expensive but are a necessity that many families depend on to function each and every day. We hope our partners join us in our effort to provide diapers to as many families and children as possible.”

"Something as small as a diaper can significantly impact families in need,” said Michelle Old, Diaper Bank of North Carolina’s Executive Director. “Our research shows that when families receive diapers, they experience less emotional distress, have healthier, happier babies and can better afford other essentials such as food and utilities. We’re incredibly thankful to Aeroflow Urology for supporting our work to distribute dignity to North Carolina families.”
