$30 M Aid in the pipeline by WB for bird flu in Turkey

Taking into consideration the epidemic that is bird flu which is taking the world by storm WB might grant $30 M in aid to Turkey.//

This follows a high level and numerous evaluations by the World Bank.

But all this bore fruit and according to latest reports World Bank (WB) concluded Turkey might deserve $30 million in bird flu aid.

As said by Jurgen Voegele, Bank's Eastern Rural Development Region Director, "A joint evaluation showed Turkey needs $30 million for handling the outbreak and enrichments of its veterinary services.”

Voegele drew attention to Turkey’s capacity to cope with the bird flu, but said this necessitates a great amount of expenses. The expenses since cannot be entirely born by turkey, it would be given a grant by the WB. This would help it to combat the virus better.
