Date:1/17/2013

Fredericksburg, VA (PRWEB) January 17, 2013

Northern Virginia Magazine listed all five physicians at Women’s Health and Surgery Center in Fredericksburg and Stafford Virginia as Top Doctors as voted by their peers.

There are several ways the best physicians are recognized in the communities in which they practice. Some are through referrals by word of mouth by patients or from primary care doctors, and others are through health system databases. However, when Northern Virginia Magazine came out with their annual Top Doctors edition it becomes another affirmation that the work these doctors do are truly exceptional.

Women’s Health and Surgery Center is now proud for five reasons, all five of their physicians have been name to this prestigious list. “This is the 3rd year in a row for some of the physicians and has helped define us as top providers in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Stafford, VA and Fredericksburg, VA region,” said Kurian Thott MD CEO and Physician at Women’s Health and Surgery Center. This is his 3rd year being added to this list and he has the added recognition of being a top minimally invasive GYN surgeon, as noted by the American Academy of Gynecological Laparoscopists (AAGL) and Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SLS).

Women’s Health and Surgery Center physicians were the first and among the few named OB/GYN’s in the Stafford and Fredericksburg Virginia region to ever be named to the Northern Virginia Magazine list. “In this age of social media and internet searches it’s important to patients to know that their doctors are ranked as the best especially when decided upon by their peers and the hospitals they have privileges at,” adds Dr. Alysha Kirkwood, who was named for 2013.
