White Paper Predicts Less Snow More Rain Worldwide in Middle Latitudes
Date:11/7/2013

Grants Pass, OR (PRWEB) November 07, 2013

Satellite observations over the last 40 years suggest a gradual change from snow to rain, especially at the beginning and end of the cold season globally, and at higher elevations over the Earth’s surface. That was one of the predictions in a recent White Paper by Climatologist DeWayne Cecil, PhD, for a study team sponsored by Sharon Kleyne’s Bio Logic Aqua Research. Both Cecil and Kleyne believe that this change could have a significant worldwide impact on human health.

The study team’s objective, according to Kleyne and Cecil, is research and education regarding changes in atmospheric water content, including fresh water vapor and precipitation, and their potential and observed impacts on human health. The intent is to stimulate discussions of the impact of climatic variation with the goal of improving the ability of humans to live with and adapt to a changing atmosphere.

DeWayne Cecil, PhD, has had a distinguished career as a Climatologist in academic, government and private research settings. He has been employed as a researcher for the USGS Water Resources Discipline, the NASA Earth Observation Satellite program, Director of NOAA’a Western Region Climate Services and most recently, Chief Climatologist for Global Science and Technology, Inc. of Ashville, NC.

Sharon Kleyne is Founder of Bio-Logic Aqua Research, a fresh water and health research, education and product development center. Nature’s Tears® EyeMist®, the company’s global signature product, provides a pure all-water mist to instantly replenish the water in dehydrated eyes and skin that has been lost to dry air an air pollution. Kleyne also hosts the globally syndicated Sharon Kleyne Hour Power of Water® radio show on VoiceAmerica and Apple iTunes.

According to the Dr. Cecil, increased rain and decreased snow suggests that snow packs are melting faster and earlier. This situation could result in runoff water being unavailable at the optimum time for the growing season in many places. The situation also leads to less soil moisture in the summer months with an associated risk of drought, heat waves, water shortages, wild fires and human health impacts.

Sharon Kleyne notes that both higher temperatures and lower humidity will increase the rate of water evaporation out of the skin and eyes, causing dehydration complaints that could become serious or even life threatening. According to Kleyne, human skin is 70% water and the surface of the eyes is 98% water. Skin and eye dehydration is made even worse by decreasing global precipitation and increasing air pollution.

According to Kleyne, the purpose of Nature’s Tears® EyeMist® is to provide a product that empowers every individual, no matter where in the world they live, to become proactive in instantly replenishing eye and skin water lost to evaporation as a result of a decreasing snow pack and dry and polluted air.
