South Cameron Memorial Hospital and Calcasieu Oaks Psychiatric Hospital Discontinue Operations as Result of Impending Hurricane Gustav

MIAMI, Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to mandatory evacuations and the approaching Hurricane Gustav, Pacer Health Corporation has discontinued operations at its two Louisiana medical facilities: South Cameron Memorial Hospital (Cameron, LA) and Calcasieu Oaks Psychiatric Hospital (Lake Charles, LA). Effective immediately, both facilities will cease function until post- storm advisements are issued by local and state officials. Facility patients have been safely relocated to non-threatening areas or discharged from the facility. Regular updates including patient and staff relocation and emergency contact numbers can be found on the respective sites, and or by visiting Pacer Health Corporation at Pacer Health Corporation will re-open both facilities once state officials advise it is safe to do so.
