Sidney Health Center Selects Kaufman Hall’s Budget Advisor® Solution to Enhance Budgeting and Reporting Capabilities

Skokie, IL (PRWEB) November 12, 2014

Kaufman Hall, the leading provider of strategic financial consulting services and software tools to healthcare organizations, today announced that Sidney Health Center, a not-for-profit community-based medical center serving regions in Montana and North Dakota, has selected its Budget Advisor® product to enhance a range of budgeting, reporting and planning capabilities. Sidney Health Center will leverage Budget Advisor® to automate and streamline its budgeting process, enabling easy data consolidation and support more comprehensive reporting to inform strategic decision-making.

Sidney Health Center selected Kaufman Hall’s Budget Advisor® based on its ability to deliver a high level of automation, allowing the organization to easily and accurately format data to its precise specifications and perform any level of consolidation. Another driver for the decision was Sidney Health Center’s affiliation with Sanford Health, the largest rural not-for-profit health system in the country and also a Budget Advisor user.

“Kaufman Hall’s Budget Advisor® has all the functionality our finance team needs built in, and its rapid roll-out should allow us to improve critical processes almost immediately,” said Tina Montgomery, CFO of Sidney Health Center. “Its one-two punch of seamless data consolidation and flexible reporting will help us to free up valuable resources, allowing our finance team to spend less time sifting through piles of information and more time on data and trend analysis to help grow our business.”

Sidney Health Center has been serving the Montana and Dakota region for more than 100 years. Located in the heart of Richland County, the campus includes an acute care hospital, clinic area, retail pharmacy and a 93-bed extended care facility offering a complete range of inpatient and outreach services. As Budget Advisor® is specifically designed for healthcare organizations, it will afford Sidney Health Center a holistic view of its performance and more meaningful insights to inform its key business planning.

“Today’s healthcare landscape, which has come to be defined by tight margins and declines in reimbursement, requires finance to take a much more active role in organizational decision-making," said James Bodan, Executive Vice President of Kaufman Hall’s software division. “We are excited to provide Sidney Health Center with the tools it needs to gather timely, business-critical insights and make knowledgeable judgments that will position the organization to thrive in any environment.”

Budget Advisor® is a unique reporting and budgeting system that helps healthcare organizations create a more targeted budget in dramatically less time with less effort. The solution combines a live spreadsheet interface with a state-of-the-art database to provide the ultimate in modeling sophistication along with the consolidation power, system-wide controls and security of an enterprise application. Budget Advisor® is licensed by more than 1,000 healthcare entities, including nearly 700 hospitals.
