Scientific Technologies Corporation Expands into the Clinical Solution Marketplace
Date:3/22/2013

Tucson, Arizona (PRWEB) March 22, 2013

STC is pleased to announce it has acquired the primary assets of Spokane, Washington-based KL Crane & Associates and MD EMR Systems of Houston, Texas. In addition, Kristina Crane, former CEO of KL Crane & Associates, will be joining STC as the Director of Provider Services, while Mike Duckworth, former CEO of MD EMR Systems, will lead the Provider Solutions product line as its Director. Both of these acquisitions expand STC’s immunization portfolio in the clinical marketplace.

KL Crane & Associates, established in 2006, has provided expert immunization information system (IIS) training, advocacy, and support services to thousands of providers who administer vaccines across the state of Washington on behalf of the Washington State Department of Health. “These are services STC has not traditionally provided to our state health department clients. The more we worked with KL Crane & Associates the more we saw the value they bring the state immunization program and the providers who use STC’s IWeb IIS solution. We realized that this service helps the clinical community to use IWeb to its fullest capabilities and assists the provider to better serve their patients. STC’s core mission has always been about improving public health outcomes,” states Todd Watkins, President of STC.

The MD EMR Systems ImmsLink application has more than 500 licensed users in many provider organizations across the country. ImmsLink allows a clinician to view a patient’s immunization record contained in their GE Centricity EHR and compare it to the same patient’s vaccination history in the state IIS. ImmsLink allows the clinician to view a patient’s immunization record in the GE Centricity EHR and the same patient’s vaccination history in the state IIS through a side by side view of both applications. The clinician can send vaccination data to the IIS as is done with other immunization inte
