Nutrisystem Announces Latest Weight Loss Success Story: Military Mom Regains Fit Form; Plus, Five Tips for Workplace Wellness
Date:1/10/2013

Fort Washington, PA (PRWEB) January 10, 2013

Nutrisystem reveals the latest real-life weight loss success story. Tracy Shaffer, a mother of two, did what she could to shed the extra pounds, trying everything – from various weight loss programs to pills – but nothing worked. While she had struggled with her weight as a teen, Shaffer now found herself in a completely new battle to regain her once military fit form. Then, one night while watching television, she saw an ad for Nutrisystem and made the decision to start the program.

Shaffer was drawn to the convenience of having healthy meals already planned for her, and it didn’t take long for her to start seeing positive results. At age 42, Shaffer began the program at 143 pounds and was able to lose 27 pounds* to reach a goal weight of 116. “I liked the ease and affordability of the Nutrisystem® program and fell in love with the great taste of the meals,” says Shaffer.

Nutrisystem, which is based on 40 years of nutrition research and the science of the low glycemic index, offers a variety of great tasting, satisfying, good carbohydrate meals (over 150 menu options) that are designed to be heart healthy.

Tracy Shaffer’s weight troubles as an adult began when she found herself in a civilian job, working for hours on end behind a desk, but she is not alone. For millions of Americans, the workplace can be a haven for weight gain. A recent survey found two-in-five workers (40 percent) said they have gained weight at their current job. T
