NJ Top Docs Presents, Metro Pediatric Cardiology Associates!
Date:4/26/2016

Dr. Joshua Dyme is a board certified pediatric cardiologist, who, after completing his fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center, practiced his specialty for over nine years at Hackensack University Medicine Center. He is known for his meticulous care and upbeat, compassionate bedside manner. He enjoys caring for patients from fetal life through young adulthood.

A visit to a doctor can create anxiety in anyone. However, when the patient is a child and they are told to see a heart doctor, it can be very upsetting to both the patient and parent.

Dr. Donald Putman, Dr. Joshua Dyme, and the team at Metro Pediatric Cardiology Associates aim to keep visits as stress-free for children and their parents as possible while maintaining an upbeat, engaging, and family centered approach. Dr. Putman performs non-invasive studies, including in-office electrocardiograms and echocardiograms, and provides referrals for cardiac catheterization and pediatric cardiac surgery (http://www.njfamily.com).

“We do a lot of talking. We’ve never had anyone complain that we didn’t answer their questions, or they didn’t have enough time with their physician,” says Dr. Putman.

A board certified Pediatric Cardiologist and Division Chief Pediatric Cardiology at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ, Dr. Putman received his medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at New York University/Bellevue Medical Center. Dr. Putman is also the Director of cardiac screening for the Matthew Morahan Center for Athletic Screening.

Pediatric Cardiology is the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the heart and blood vessels in children. It is the specialization in treating congenital or acquired heart disease in children and infants, occasionally including diagnosing and treating infants who are still in the womb.

Along with providing exceptional care for his patients and keeping up with the industry’s latest developments and technologies, Dr. Putman has many years of expertise in the following specialties:

  •         Fetal Echocardiography
  •         Congenital Heart Disease or suspected Congenital Heart Disease
  •         Acquired or suspected Heart Disease in infants, toddlers, children or adolescence
  •         Adult Congenital Heart Disease
  •         In-hospital consultations on infants, children, and adolescent
