My Positive Perspective Airs Episode Featuring Michael Finnell and His Company, Cooking for Couples
Date:2/10/2015

Charleston, SC (PRWEB) February 10, 2015

My Positive Perspective host Jason Deierlein was joined by Charleston chef Michael Finnell for an episode. The episode stated ask by Deierlein asking Finnell, “How did you get started as a chef?” Finnell answers, “I started cooking at the age of thirteen, I lost my father at that age and my mom went back to work. For the kids, we had to make the dinner for the family. Originally, the duty fell to my sister, but one day she read the directions for cooking a chicken.” Finnell continues, “The directions said to take chicken out of fridge and put in the oven at 350. That was what she did, without taking the chicken out of the package and dinner was ruined. I did not want this to happen again so I took over as the family chef.”

Deierlein then asks Finnell, “What are some jobs that you have had in the culinary profession?” Finnell answers, “I worked every position throughout college from server to bus boy. I eventually became the executive chef for Hilton eventually becoming a director of food and beverage for them.”

Deierlein then asks Finnell, “What does the Cooking for Couples business intended to do?” Finnell replies, “People who would rather have a relaxed evening enjoying a cooked meal that do not want to contend with the crowds, waiting and parking problems downtown can hire me to come to their home and do all the cooking and cleaning for them. It’s a great way to spend private and romantic evening at the home.” Finnell continues, “I pair the main dishes with wines and deserts.”

My Positive Perspective is a media outlet believing that improvement in our community will be best achieved by focusing on the good things happening in our world today. Having survived a near fatal car accident as a youth, a shift of perception forced one to have a mentality of always concentrating on the brighter sides of things. This was true, and in my book, Return From a Comatose Mind, this belief was put to the test. Appreciation for life was the biggest thing one took away from my brush with death, and it is because of that gives me such a huge desire to be helpful to many. My Positive Perspective is a way of overcoming challenges through positive thinking.
