MotoSport.com Joins Rockstar Energy Racing for 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross and 2013 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships
Date:1/5/2013

MURRIETA, CA (PRWEB) January 05, 2013

This year’s Rockstar Energy Racing team will field talented riders Jason Anderson and Blake Wharton once more, and they have added strength with new team members Nico Izzi, Ryan Sipes and Davi Millsaps. Anderson and Wharton competed on opposite coasts in the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship but were together for the 2012 AMA Pro Motocross Lites season, where both enjoyed consistent top-10 finishes. In 2013, both Anderson and Wharton will again contend their respective AMA Supercross Lites and AMA Pro Motocross Lites classes aboard Suzuki’s RM-Z250.

New team members Izzi and Sipes will also race the Suzuki 250 alongside those two – Izzi with Wharton in the East and Sipes with Anderson in the West - in the Lites classes in AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross. Though new to the Rockstar Energy Racing team, AMA Horizon Award winner and Supercross Lites Champion Davi Millsaps is a premier class veteran and will run there again in both SX and MX championship series. Millsaps’ mount will be the Suzuki RM-Z450, which will also be available to his Lites teammates when they get the opportunity to race in the class at select venues.

Rockstar Energy Racing team manager Dave Gowland stated of the relationship, “MotoSport has been involved with our team for many years; it has been a long-term, ongoing relationship. I like Bill [Butcher] and we really like MotoSport. Together we are two power brands in this industry, and our involvement with one another has many benefits for the end consumer. We are happy to have MotoSport with the team!”

“We at MotoSport.com have a high level of respect for the team at Rockstar Energy Racing,” declared Bill Butcher, CEO and founder of MotoSport.com, “and we could not be more pleased to be a part of their remarkable operation. With the talented group of athletes they have together for 2013, we are all eagerly awaiting the start of the season.”
