Lorna Kleidman Responds to an Article About Four Popular Exercises to Try in the New Year

On January 22, kettlebell exercises trainer Lorna Kleidman comments on a recent article listing four new exercises people should try in 2013.

To help people get some new ideas for 2013, The Vancouver Sun released an article with four trending workouts. The article suggests that people may require additional motivation to stick to a regular exercise schedule. As such, if the work out is more enjoyable, those seeking fitness will be more inclined to stick to their work out.

The first workout the article recommends a ballet/barre workout, which incorporates aspects of ballet dancing. Those who enjoy dance, yoga or Pilates were the most likely candidates to be motivated. While this workout may be aimed towards women, it is still effective for anyone looking to incorporate fun dance techniques into their exercise.

Secondly, the article suggests trying CrossFit. According to the article, CrossFit is a popular workout that includes intense plyometrics and weight lifting for a full-body workout. CrossFit is for anyone with an abundance of athletic ability and stamina due to the intense nature of the class.

Computraining is the next workout suggested by The Vancouver Sun. Computraining, the article reports, is basically a spinning class hooked up to a huge screen that simulates some of the hardest biking courses in the world. The article’s final recommendation is yoga. Noted for its popularity, the exercise uses various stretches along with meditation to get a great core workout.
