Heritage Woods of Rockford to Host Doll Show and Afternoon Tea
Date:12/29/2012

Bradley, Illinois (PRWEB) December 29, 2012

Heritage Woods of Rockford, a BMA affordable assisted living community in Rockford, Illinois, is hosting a Doll Show and Afternoon Tea in honor of National Tea Month at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4.

The community, which is located at 202 N. Showplace Dr., serves older adults of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

The Doll Show and Afternoon Tea is open to the public. There is no cost to attend.

As seating is limited, please RSVP by Wednesday, Jan. 2, by calling 815-332-3700.

“Our community provides older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home,” says Anthony Valentino, Administrator of Heritage Woods of Rockford.

Residents live in private apartments and receive personal assistance and help with medications.

Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included services.

“Our focus is on providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity that they deserve in addition to the care and assistance that they need,” says Valentino. “Our emphasis is on helping residents to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible.”

Heritage Woods is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.

Based in Bradley, Illinois, BMA operates 36 senior living communities, housing more than 3,300
