Hallberg Insurance Joins the Together We Cope Organization to Fight Against Growing Homelessness in South Chicago
Date:10/26/2015

Hallberg Insurance Advisors, a family owned insurance firm that serves Chicago and the surrounding communities, is launching a cooperative charity effort with the Chicago-based Together We Cope organization in an effort to minimize the effects of homelessness on families in the southern Chicago area.

Together We Cope is a non-profit that serves 27 communities throughout the southern suburbs of Chicago, providing food, critical supplies, and emergency housing assistance to families that are on the brink of being homeless, enabling struggling families to keep their homes during difficult times. Groups that receive assistance from Together We Cope include single parents trying to make ends meet, individuals and seniors facing catastrophic medical expenses, or unemployed and underemployed workers that do not have benefits.

“By working closely with Together We Cope, our firm is actively helping Chicago area residents who are struggling with unemployment keep their homes,” says Tom Hallberg, owner and manager of Hallberg Insurance Advisors. “We’re thankful for all the support we’ve gotten from our fellow community members, however there is still much to do, there are many south Chicago families in real danger of becoming homeless.”

The Hallberg team is employing a large network of personal and professional contacts in an effort to advocate for the importance of offering emergency assistance to Chicago families struggling to keep their homes, as well as gathering support and donations that will be forwarded to the Together We Cope organization as they continue their mission to prevent homelessness. The team is also busy working up a social media page that they hope will gather support from communities throughout Illinois.

As well as supporting the Together We Cope organization in combating homelessness in Chicago, Hallberg Insurance Advisors has worked closely with several other Illinois-based charities and causes over the past few months, and plans to find a new local charity to support every sixty days going forward.

Readers who wish to help Hallberg Insurance Advisors as they assist south Chicago families in their struggle to keep their homes are encouraged to visit the Hallberg Insurance charity page and make a personal contribution to the cause: http://www.hallbergadvisors.com/Giving-Our-Neighbors-A-Hand_11_community_cause.
