Gospel Fellowship Church Volunteering at Into Action Treatment
Date:10/20/2013

Boynton Beach, FL (PRWEB) October 20, 2013

Gospel Fellowship, a new church in Boynton Beach that currently meets at Crosspointe Elementary, has recently embarked on a series of outreach measures that are designed to bring hope and joy to the surrounding community. Although Gospel Fellowship offers an engaging Sunday morning gathering and worship service, the institution's members also pride themselves on making a positive impact in the city. The church is committed to following the teachings of Jesus and is already making a significant difference in the lives of men and women who are struggling with addiction.

Involvement with IntoAction
While IntoAction Treatment is a treatment center that encourages spiritual, rather than religious beliefs, the facility is excited about the opportunity to partner with a church that strives to battle addiction with compassion and sincerity. The Gospel Fellowship has launched a monthly outreach program with volunteers that thus far has interacted with clients, participated in small construction projects, and helped develop a physical rehabilitation center.

The staff members at IntoAction Treatment have been exceedingly generous and have welcomed the church group with open arms. The few pictured in the accompanying photograph have dedicated time and energy to the treatment center. The volunteers, in fact, have truly enjoyed themselves and are thankful for the opportunity to make a difference.

Spirituality and Good Deeds
Spirituality is intimately intertwined with good deeds. When men and women open up their hearts to others within the community, they are ultimately acting as extensions of Christ himself. The volunteers who have spent time at IntoAction are dedicated to helping individuals who have fallen on hard times. By assisting the less fortunate in their time of need, the volunteers are hopeful that the kindness and generosity inherent in their actions will be taken up by others in the community. The end goal is a long-term social activism that will inspire people to care for each and every resident of Boynton Beach.

Offering Renewed Hope
One of the goals of the partnership between Gospel Fellowship and IntoAction is to offer renewed hope to men and women who have become addicted to drugs or alcohol. The volunteers have sought to help patients understand that the future is still bright. When addicts truly wish to turn their lives around, they can kick their addictive tendencies and reengage with life. With support from the local community, patients can regain optimal health and go on to do great things in the world around them.

Toward a Renewal of Values
While religion and spirituality are sometimes considered incompatible, nothing could be further from the truth. Volunteers from Gospel Fellowship have sought to take ownership of the struggles and fears that addicts frequently face. Parishioners have been quite pleased with the experience and are excited to help out whenever they are needed. The church hopes to continue to have a positive impact on the community in the months and years ahead. For more information about http://www.gospelfellowship.net.
