Craig Nabat Former Smoker supports Great America Smokeout day and declares his Commitment to Persuading Simon Cowell and other Celebrities to Quit Smoking

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 21, 2013

Today is the American Cancer Society’s 37th annual Great American Smokeout.

Ex-smoker Craig Nabat, Founder of Freedom Laser Therapy, a Los Angeles based nicotine addiction clinic supports the American Cancer Society's cause of persuading smokers to quit smoking and becoming healthier. Nabat claims that his 10-year old nicotine addiction company doesn't depend on a specific day to help smokers quit; Craig strives daily to influence smokers to give up cigarettes and focuses his aim at urging celebrities to Live Free from Nicotine. Nabat strongly believes celebrities who smoke undoubtedly causes many teens to initially start smoking.

It has been reported nationwide earlier this month that 54 year old Simon Cowell, The
X Factor USA star and former American Idol judge's pregnant girlfriend Lauren Silverman is demanding for him to quit smoking before their first child is born next February. and Us Weekly each reported that Simon has even purchased an engagement ring for his expectant girlfriend. Silverman has supposedly laid down the ground rules that there will be no smoking around the baby, if he chooses to still smoke.

Entrepreneur Craig Nabat, President of Freedom Laser Therapy has been successfully using a painless low-level laser procedure to help smokers break free of nicotine addiction and has been treating the biggest stars in Hollywood for over the past decade. Freedom Laser Therapy has been featured on Access Hollywood, The Doctors, Fox News, Huffington Post Live, TLC, VH1,, and; and Freedom's smoking cessation procedure has been known as an effective quit smoking treatment to the stars.

Despite there being a diminished number of smokers over the past 40 years, cigarette smoking is still considered the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the United States and nearly one in every five adults are still smoking. The number of adult smokers in the United States is still staggering at approximately 42.5 million. Despite declines in recent years, in 2011 nearly 1 in 3 male high school students smoke (28%) and nearly 1 in 5 female high school students (19%) were found to be current users of some type of tobacco. Nearly 1 in 5 students (18%) were considered current cigarette smokers. Half of these students (50%) reported they had tried to quit smoking during the past year.

Craig offers Cowell Freedom Laser Therapy to protect the health of his unborn child and prolong the life of this uber successful businessman, producer, and A&R executive. Cowell is reportedly seldom seen without a lit cigarette. His craving for nicotine is supposedly so intense that he prefers smoking to sex and was quoted as saying, "When I'm having sex, I'm actually thinking I want to hurry up and finish so I can have a cigarette!" According to the American Lung Association smoking reduces one's life expectancy by an average of 13-15 years for a male smoker.

Nabat is offering to personally treat Simon for his nicotine addiction next time Cowell is in Los Angeles or Freedom will send Cowell the new at home Freedom Quit Smoking System- America's Nicotine Free & Natural Way to Quit. Nabat openly says to Cowell. "Man, you've got it all, beautiful girlfriend, a child on the way, career success, money to enjoy every single whim you desire and it can all be taken away from you in an instant, if you suffer from a heart attack, stroke, or tobacco related illness. I've personally helped thousands of smokers stop permanently and I'm certain I can help you quit smoking too."

Nabat's efforts don't stop at helping Simon Cowell quit smoking. Craig has also made a $1 million offer to actress, Playboy model and Co-host of the View Jenny McCarthy to stop promoting E-Cigarettes, and urges McCarthy to use her star power to help people stop smoking for good with the Freedom Quit Smoking System, which is all natural and contains zero nicotine.

Nabat, a former pack and a half a day smoker is also deeply concerned that history is repeating itself with the current celebrity based marketing blitz of E-Cigs, and he fears teenagers will be curious to try smoking electronic cigarettes and eventually experiment with traditional cigarettes once more teens will learn how pleasurable the effects of nicotine can be. Nabat believes, E-Cigarettes are being marketed as an alternative form of smoking, but they are undoubtedly going to become a gateway to traditional smoking for thousands of young people in America. Nabat says, "Big Tobacco now owns Blu and Njoy E-Cigs, the top two most popular brands of E-Cigarettes on the market, and their current advertising messages are going to obviously convince teens that E-Cigs are cool and something fun to do when spending time with friends."

In the past Big Tobacco used product placement in movies to influence our youth to smoke. In Superman II, there was a classic fight scene in which Superman and the bad guys threw a Marlboro truck back and forth across a busy street. This truck was produced solely for the movie and existed nowhere else. Philip Morris also made certain the lead actress playing Lois Lane played by Margot Kidder was seen smoking Marlboro cigarettes in the film. Superman II was produced and marketed to a young audience and Big Tobacco capitalized on that.

E-Cigarette advertisements are currently being positioned as a safer alterative to smoking and a way for smokers taking back their freedom since smoking is now being banned in many public places across the United States. On the Late Show with David Letterman actress Katherine Heigl admitted to being addicted to electronic cigarettes and even declared, "E-Cigs are not bad for you." National exposure like this will only hook teens on nicotine and keep many existing smokers who may have quit to remain addicted due to this modern nicotine delivery device.

If you follow history Big Tobacco will pay to have their product, E-Cigarettes to appear in new movies, which will entice our teens to begin using E-Cigs. "Johnny Depp was seen smoking an electronic cigarette in the movie The Tourist and Depp uses an e-cigarette on a train, and when questioned about why he is smoking in a “no smoking” area, he replies that he isn't smoking at all and that e-cigarettes are exempt from the public smoking ban. "This sure sounds like a creative product placement. This type of product placement for E-Cigs will be seen by a large percentage of teenagers since there are more than 62 million cable television subscribers in the US", says Nabat.

Highly visible stars are often filmed or photographed smoking in public by the celebrity news outlet, which sends the message to our youth that the smoking culture is very much still thriving in America despite cigarettes' documented dangerous health effects. Fans of Miley Cyrus, Leonardo DiCaprio, Joaquin Phoenix, Britney Spears, Rihinna, Lindsay Lohan, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Johnny Depp, Ben Affleck, Judd Law, Robert Downey Jr., Mickey Rourke, Catherine Zeta Jones, Lady Gaga, Charlie Sheen, Jessica Alba, Kelly Osbourne, Kate Winslet, Kristen Dunst, Shia La Beouf, Kate Moss, Bar Refaeli, Ryan Gosling, Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Mendes, Emma Roberts, Colin Farrell, and Sean Penn are only some of the many celebrities who may be unknowing influencing our youth to smoke. Now with the hunger for celebrity gossip and images so easily available online, it is virtually impossible for teenagers not to be exposed to seeing their favorite stars smoking. Often teens emulate the behavior of their favorite celebrities and ultimately will become smokers themselves. There is even research to support how movies can influence teens to smoke.
