Churchview Supportive Living to Host African American History Heritage Bowl

Churchview Supportive Living on Chicago's southwest side is hosting an African American History Heritage Bowl at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22.

The BMA affordable assisted living community serves low-income older adults who need some help to maintain their independence.

"We invite you to join residents of Churchview for an afternoon of fun competition as we test your knowledge of African American History," says Thalia Barrow, Director of Marketing for Churchview Supportive Living.

"Participants will enjoy a complimentary lunch, and we'll be giving away raffle prizes," says Barrow.

There is no charge to participate.

The community is located at 2626 W. 63rd St. in Chicago, Illinois.

"The community provides low-income older adults, including those on Medicaid, with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Barrow. "Residents benefit from living in a residential apartment-home environment, where they receive personal assistance and help with medications."

Each of the private apartments at Churchview features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. All three meals each day, housekeeping, and laundry are among the included services.
