Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters Seeks 1964 Bob Dylan San Jose Civic Auditorium Concert Poster
Date:1/5/2013

Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) January 05, 2013

Andrew Hawley from Vintage Rock Posters, a serious buyer of original 1950's and 1960's boxing-style rock n roll concert posters, announces his search for original 1964 Bob Dylan San Jose Civic Auditorium Concert Posters. According to Hawley, "This was Dylan's first time playing the Civic Auditorium in San Jose. He returned the following year to play this venue one more time. The concert was sparsely attended, but Dylan was on his game and the concert was a success."

Hawley adds, "The poster artwork and printing was supplied by Tighlman Press in Oakland, California. The Tighlman press printed most of the Bay Area rock concert posters in the 1960s. Unlike Globe Posters of Baltimore who used flashy and garish neon graphics and colors, Tighlman Press produced boxing-style posters using simple block lettering accompanied by a stock photo of the artist or band. The San Jose Dylan concert poster was printed on thick cardboard and measured 14x33 inches and features spearmint green lettering on a simple white background and a photo of Dylan. This poster has a look of a wild west wanted poster and was only used for the San Jose show. Approximately 200 posters were printed and hung up locally to advertise the show."

Hawley is willing to pay $5,000 cash for the 1964 Bob Dylan San Jose Civic Auditorium concert poster or any other original 1962-1966 Dylan concert posters. Please call 310-346-1965 or email andrew (at) vintageconcertposterbuyer (dot) com.
