irisnote Announces Successful Conclusion of Beta Test Phase
Date:4/3/2013

Redwood City, CA (PRWEB) April 03, 2013

irisnote today announced the successful conclusion of its beta test, which included over 2000 scientists and researchers in corporate, government and academic institutions. irisnote Cloud Edition, an online cloud-based Electronic Laboratory Notebook and intellectual property (IP) management service accelerates research by enabling scientists to document their work, collaborate with others, and ensure their IP is protected.

“At irisnote, we’re building a solution that allows researchers to enter their work where they want in the way they feel most comfortable. Every day research organizations come to us because current methods of maintaining valuable research are inadequate for the job,” said Peter Herz, CEO of irisnote. “irisnote enables scientists to quickly and easily document, manage and review their research. For example, with our new iPad app, notebook entries are totally free-form – users can type text, handwrite with character recognition, dictate, add files of any kind, edit entries, and then flip through their notebooks using intuitive gestures, just like they do when reading eBooks.”

irisnote is built upon a powerful 21 CFR Part 11 compliant ELN engine, ensuring the safety and security of user data. At the same time, irisnote allows users to easily share their work with their colleagues and peers, search for new colleagues with irisnote’s proprietary Find Experts feature, and collaborate in real time through our built-in, compliant messaging platform.

“irisnote’s new offerings provide a platform for the advancement of Scientific Resource Planning. Our new ELN offering is the core of the platform. Institutions the world over are finding that their most valuable asset – their research – is not well managed, protected or controlled,” said Craig Harper, CTO for irisnote. “Now there’s no longer a need for them to use ad-hoc, home-grown solutions that fail t
