Sunset World will Consolidate its Presence in the Mexican Caribbean in 2013

Sunset World Resorts & Vacation Experiences registered one of the best years in its tourism operation in the Mexican Caribbean in 2012 and is optimistic that this will be a year of consolidation through strategies such as technological renovation, sustainable management of resources and strategic alliances in Mexico and abroad.

The tourism group, which has been operating in Cancún and the Riviera Maya for 25 years, managed to increase its marketing operations by 30% in the Philippines, USA, Mexico, Canada and South America, enabling it to offer accommodation to more than 600 thousand tourists last year in its six hotel properties.

“2012 was a historic year for our company’s profitability”, said Orlando Arroyo Marroquín, President of the Sunset World Resorts & Vacation Experiences Board of Directors, and he broke the news that this year operations will be strengthened abroad, in countries such as Brazil, where marketing offices were opened last year, as well as establishing a strong presence in Venezuela and Colombia, by encouraging strategic alliances.

“We will continue working to expand our brand and increase our presence in the international market, and to do so we will concentrate our efforts this year in Central and South America, while maintaining our growth rate in the USA, Canada and the Philippines”, clarified Arroyo Marroquín, who added that thanks to their efforts the number of visitors to the Mexican Caribbean will continue to increase.
