About Hussey Copper
Founded in 1848 and headquartered in Leetsdale, Pa., Hussey Copper was acquired by Lynn Tilton in 2011 and is the world's largest producer of electrical copper bar. Hussey Copper manufactures consistently high-quality coppers and copper-nickel alloys for a range of industries and applications. Information about Hussey Copper is available at husseycopper.com.  Information about Lynn Tilton is available at patriarchpartners.com.

1Laboratory testing shows that, when cleaned regularly, antimicrobial copper, like MD-Cu29, kills greater than 99.9% of bacteria* within 2 hours of exposure.

*Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus faecalis (VRE), Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Enterobacter aerogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Escherichia coli O157:H7.

Antimicrobial copper surfaces, made with materials such as MD-Cu29, are a supplement to and not a substitute for standard infection control practices and have been shown to reduce microbial contamination, but do not necessarily prevent cross contamination; users must continue to follow all current infection control practices.
