Majmudar also was a facaulty member for the "EyeTube: Challenging Video Cases for the Young Surgeon," the "Limbal Relaxing Incision Skills Transfer Course," as well as for another course, "Cornea and Anterior Segment Disasters: Bringing them back from the Precipice," of which Dr. Trattler was also on the faculty. Dr. Tauber, who treats patients from Springfield, Missouri seeking LASIK eye surgery, presented his research in the field of Cornea and Refractive Surgery on "Managing the Ocular Surface After Refractive Surgery." Dr. Tauber's presentation demonstrated the need for treating the ocular surface before and after LASIK eye surgery so that patients get the maximum benefit from their elective eye surgery. Dr. Tauber also taught a course entitled "Vision and Sports: The Sports Ophthalmology Society of the Americas," which discussed ophthalmic management and treatment of athletes and included a discussion on LASIK versus surface ablation for athletes and the legal ramifications for team ophthalmologists. Dr. Tauber also made a presentation to technicians and nurses of the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology concerning sports and vision injuries where he demonstrated the potential for eye injury in patients that participate in athletics as well as methods to decrease the risk of permanent injury.
