to disseminate optics and photonics information as widely as possible,” said SPIE CEO Eugene Arthurs. “Japanese researchers have provided strong contributions to our library since the first SPIE publications. We urge those at participating universities to encourage their librarians to connect with this new opportunity, to enable easy access to this comprehensive collection.”

About JUSTICE

JUSTICE, established in 2011, is a new consortium resulting from the alliance between the Japan Association of National University Libraries Consortium (JANUL) and the Private and Public University Libraries Consortium (PULC). Their aim is to enhance coordination among the Japanese university library community by cooperating with publishers and vendors of e-resources.

About SPIE

SPIE is the international society for optics and photonics, a not-for-profit organization founded in 1955 to advance light-based technologies. The Society serves nearly 225,000 constituents from approximately 150 countries, offering conferences, continuing education, books, journals, and a digital library in support of interdisciplinary information exchange, professional growth, and patent precedent. SPIE provided over $2.7 million in support of education and outreach programs in 2011.
