Biotech & Life Sciences Hiring in Southern California on the Rise

DENVER, Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Today BioSpace, the largest online source for biotech and life sciences jobs, recruitment solutions and news, released its Biotech Beach Salary & Hiring Report, examining hiring trends, salary figures and more for the San Diego and Southern California areas.

The number of employers posting jobs in the Biotech Beach region increased 31 percent in the last year, reflecting the Bureau of Labor Statistics' prediction that biopharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing jobs will increase 10 percent this decade.

"Biotech Beach continues to grow and job seekers will likely notice the increase in job postings," said Emily Chereck, BioSpace Product Manager. "Employers in this industry will see applications from many qualified candidates, as competition rises for biotech and life sciences positions."
