Bayer CropScience Supports 10th Anniversary of United Way Of The Greater Triangle’s Girls’ Leadership Development Initiative
Date:10/19/2013

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (PRWEB) October 18, 2013

Continuing a tradition of investing in leadership development for girls and women, Bayer CropScience sponsored the 2013 United Way of the Greater Triangle’s Women’s Leadership Council (WLC) Girls Leadership Camp. The camp, which celebrated its 10th anniversary this year, enables girls ages 11-15 to discover their leadership potential and develop a project to engage with and give back to the Triangle community. Bayer CropScience employees and leadership dedicated many hours in supporting the camp and providing mentorship for participants, and the company created a video to be used for future fundraising efforts for the camp.

“As a longtime supporter of United Way of the Greater Triangle, we are proud to continue our collaboration to help further develop the leadership potential of bright young women in the area,” said Jim Blome, president and CEO of Bayer CropScience LP. “We recognize that before long, these youth will be working to solve some of the world’s most pressing issues, and Bayer CropScience wants to help ensure that they are equipped with the resources, skills, and knowledge to do so effectively.”

Bayer CropScience’s video features interviews with WLC members, campers and partner organizations, as well as footage from the camp’s leadership workshops and activities. The video was unveiled during United Way of the Greater Triangle’s annual Women’s Leadership Council Awards Luncheon on October 18. Through this video, Bayer CropScience
