Bayer CropScience Bee Care Tour Stops in Nebraska

s/news/press-releases?storyId=8857915f-2f60-4674-8c1c-1eab1498afcb" onclick="linkClick(this.href)">Bee Care Tour traveled to university agriculture schools and farm communities across Corn Belt states over the past two months. Additonal tour stops have included Commodity Classic in Orlando, The Ohio State University in Wooster, University of Illinois in Urbana and Iowa State University in Ames. The tour will conclude next week at the University of Minnesota in St. Paul.

The Tour is part of Bayer’s overall Bee Care Program and commitment to honey bee health. The Program, which includes initiatives such as Bayer’s global Bee Care Centers and honey bee research, brings Bayer’s extensive experience and knowledge in honey bee health under one platform. A Bee Care Center is currently under construction at the North American Bayer CropScience Headquarters at Research Triangle Park, N.C. which will aid the advancement of honey bee research by providng a state-of-the-art research and meeting facility. Additionally, the Program includes Bayer’s Bee Ambassador campaign, a field staff training initiative dedicated to cultivating dialogue and awareness around topics related to honey bee management and health.

"Bayer recognizes the important role of bees in our backyards, our communities, our crop fields and our world,” said Robyn Kneen, Bayer CropScience North America Bee Health project manager. “Through the Tour, we hope to help increase the public’s awareness of the critical need for pollinators to help maintain the world’s food supply.”
