Bayer Advanced(TM) Sets Sights on New Partnerships in 2013

Today Bayer AdvancedTM, the consumer branded business of Bayer CropScience LP, announced its plans to take its sponsorship activities in a new direction that will help the company continue to advocate for the importance of roses and flowers to homes and gardens everywhere. This reallocation of focus and funding will move the company away from some of its historic sponsorships, including involvement with the Tournament of Roses® Association, and will create new opportunities for Bayer Advanced to continue driving its leadership in rose care.

Bayer Advanced, the leader in rose and flower care, is actively analyzing potential partnerships for the next chapter in the company’s ongoing quest to support do-it-yourself gardeners everywhere.

“At Bayer Advanced, we have always sought to empower consumers to protect and care for the environments that matter most to them – their homes and communities,” said Jackie Applegate, Vice President and Head of Environmental Science. “As scientists and gardeners ourselves, we deeply appreciate the role that beautiful, green spaces play in generating pride and connectivity among families and communities, and this year we want to find ways to advocate this perspective more vocally than ever before.”

As part of this new effort, Bayer Advanced will be discontinuing its 11-year sponsorship as the exclusive rose care product for the Tournament of Roses® Association.
