AMRESCO Offers New Prism Protein Marker With Vibrant Colors For Easy Band Identification
Date:6/29/2012

Solon, OH (PRWEB) June 29, 2012

Molecular weight standards comprised of proteins of predetermined sizes are essential on every gel for the size determination of unknown proteins. Protein markers in a variety of formats and size ranges are available from AMRESCO, including the newest and most sought after addition, the Prism Protein Marker, which covers a broad spectrum in distinct, vibrant colors. AMRESCO’s Prism Protein Marker contains 6 purified proteins stained with orange, blue and violet dyes, which enable visual monitoring of protein migration during electrophoresis. The tri-colored marker ranging from 19 to 130 kDa may also be used to assess protein transfer efficiency to a blotting membrane and the membrane’s orientation. Prism Protein Marker simplifies molecular weight determination for SDS-PAGE using lab-prepared or commercially available precast gels. The formulation is ready-to-use, with no requirement for boiling prior to loading. Each vial has sufficient material for up to 100 lanes.

For more information about the Prism Protein Marker or any other AMRESCO products, visit http://www.amresco-inc.com or call 1-800-448-4442.
