Item UltraClean Plant DNA (S) Kit Sample
Price $6.00
Description The UltraClean Plant DNA Kit is designed for fast and easy purification of total cellular DNA from plant cells and tissues. The bead beating technology used in this kit replaces cumbersome DNA isolation procedures such as CTAB, phenol, or chloroform extraction. Using the UltraClean procedure, alcohol precipitation is not necessary - purified DNA is ready for immediate use. Plant tissue samples are added to a bead beating tube containing beads, bead solution and lysis solution. The prinicipal is to lyse the tissue by a combination of heat, detergent, and mechanical force against specialized beads. The cellular components are lysed by mechanical action using a specially designed Mo Bio Vortex Adapter on a standard vortex. From the lysed cells, the released DNA is bound to a silica spin filter. The filter is washed, and the DNA is recovered in certified DNA-free Tris buffer.
  • Pure DNA - Removes polysaccharide and phenolic inhibitors of PCR.
  • High Quality - Yields DNA greater than 50 kb in length.
  • Rapid Protocol - Isolate DNA from plant tissue in 35 minutes.
  • Safe - No hazardous organic solvents required.
  • Complete - All tubes and reagents required are included and ready to use.
  • Low to High Throughput - Available in 96 well plate format as the UltraClean-htp 96 Well Plant DNA Kit .
  • Equipment - Requires a Mo Bio Vortex Adapter for cell lysis.
