Description The LCMS-2010EV is a fully flexible quadrupole MS detector optimized for HPLC uses including conventional HPLC, high-speed HPLC, 1-D and 2-D LC, as well as capillary and prep scale separations. It incorporates a drying gas system to create a finer spray mist for high sensitivity, especially for low-to-medium polarity compounds, while providing for high reliability, lower source contamination, and reduced adduct formation. The optical design incorporates patented ion focusing optics to preserve sensitivity by minimizing unwanted fragmentation. The analyzer includes an octopole for high-efficiency ion transmission, and pre-rods and true hyperbolic main rods for mass analysis. The electrospray (ESI) source (probe) features a metal capillary for reliability and to insure consistent electrical contact with the spray. Both the ESI probe and optional low flow rate APCI probe come offer low flow-rate compatibility with expanded operating ranges. All Shimadzu LCMS models support the Prominence HPLC and incorporate a multi-sequence operation mode, which enables simultaneous data collection with up to 64 different monitored combinations within each analysis.
