The Schleicher & Schuell BioScience Arraying Facility is a stand-alone work center dedicated to custom protein and nucleic acid array manufacturing. The facilitys experienced project teams, comprised of R&D, Engineering, QC, Planning and Marketing professionals, work closely with collaborators every step of the way from feasibility, through development, validation and production. If required, custom options can include array processing, data acquisition and analysis.

Choice of the Optimum Printing Technology for Your Project
The Arraying Facility has assembled the most advanced technologies for maximum flexibility and exceptional quality control. Printing options include state-of-the-art, piezoelectric non-contact arraying, which exhibits unsurpassed reproducibility and excellent quality control capabilities. In addition, contact printers, with both solid pins and quill pin technology, offer further options for sample deposition. A flexible robotic liquid handling system, with integrated spectrophotometer, is capable of handling a variety of sample preparation requirements.

Choice of Array Platforms
The S&S arraying experts can put your array on any slide surface, including FAST Slides with a 3-D nitrocellulose arraying surface (recommended for proteins) and a variety of glass slides (used for DNA). In addition, high density macroarrays can be printed on Nytran SuPerCharge nylon membrane sheets or on IsoCode ID sheets for ambient cDNA library archiving. Most of these surfaces can be barcoded, with either linear or two-dimensional barcodes and a wide variety of barcoding algorithms, for traceability and ease of storage/retrieval.
