Tennant® Coatings Launches New ChemXP™ Line of Secondary Containment Systems
Date:9/12/2018

Tennant Coatings, manufacturer of cutting edge resinous floor and wall coatings, is proud to introduce the new ChemXP™ line of high performance secondary containment coatings, designed to protect substrates in some of the harshest industrial environments. The line was developed to provide Tennant Coatings’ elite certified installers with the needed solutions to protect facility’s critical infrastructure and surfaces against the highly corrosive substances found in the chemical manufacturing, pulp and paper, mining and power generation industries, among others. The ChemXP™ series is comprised of five (5) distinct systems, including ChemXP-VE™ Vinyl Ester Coating and its fiberglass flake-filled counterpart, ChemXP-VE Flake™; ChemXP-Nov VE™ Novolac Vinyl Ester Coating and flake-filled ChemXP Nov VE Flake™; and ChemXP-Nov™ Epoxy Novolac. Each of the systems furnishes specific benefits in terms of chemical, solvent, acid and alkali resistance, as well as in cured film properties and performance characteristics. Together, the products that make up the ChemXP™ line provide outstanding solutions for the great majority of corrosive environments, enabling Tennant Coatings to become a one-stop-shop resource for heavy industry coating needs.

For more than 100 years, Tennant Coatings, in partnership with Tennant Company’s innovative cleaning equipment, has been an industry leader in flooring experience, knowledge, and expertise. By adding the ChemXP™ line to its family of impressively durable, high performance concrete floor coatings, the company now offers among the widest selection of coating solutions to meet or exceed virtually any facility floor, wall or secondary containment requirement.

Said Peter Kirton, Vice President of Tennant Coatings, “ChemXP™ enables our technical sales specialists and installation partners to provide science-based, proven protection when confronted with challenging corrosive settings. These optimal containment and secondary containment solutions, as with our high quality concrete floor and wall coatings, help isolate dangerous industrial byproducts and substances on the surface, allowing for proper clean up and disposal. It supports our company’s environmental initiatives -- we feel pretty good about that.”
