Monell alum Dr. Larry Clark named Center's 2013 Kerry-Manheimer awardee

of wildlife repellents and wildlife disease issues, including West Nile virus and avian influenza. Appointed the Director of the NWRC in 2008, his research activities also include work on the physiology and physics of temperature regulation in birds, reproductive inhibitors for rodents, and control methods for invasive species such as the brown tree snake.

Author or co-author of over 140 scientific publications, and 4 licensed patents, Clark received a BS from the University of Maryland; his MS from Northern Arizona University; and his PhD in biology from the University of Pennsylvania. He has received numerous honors and awards, including the Berryman Institute Research Award, the Ernst Edwards Award, and numerous USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, and Wildlife Services awards in recognition of his research and exemplary efforts in the management and oversight of the NWRC.
